Nearby is the sheltered working harbour of Mullion Cove, which was completed in 1895. Cornwall is a mystical kingdom, unspoilt and unsurpassed. Awesome cliffs shore up the coastline, arresting in the sheer scale of their splendour. Cornwall's heritage is still acted out in its tiny harbours, the landing of fish, mending of nets, stacking of lobster pots an endlessly changing tapestry. In its old inns, heaving seafood platters are accompanied by tales of vast pilchard shoals, midnight brandy runs, shipwrecks and heroic rescues. Cornwall has over 300 miles of spectacular coastline with vast golden beaches, secluded coves and picturesque fishing villages. The rolling surf draws watersports enthusiasts from all over the world.

2 Coastguard Cottages Sleeps 5
This terraced coastguard cottage, one of seven, stands high above the picturesque National Trust harbour of Mullion Cove that is protected from the sea by imposing serpentine rocks and stout sea walls. The cottage is located only a few minutes steep walk from the harbour and the sandy beach at Polurrain Cove is accessed along the coastal path just half a mile from the cottage. Mullion village, with its shops, restaurants and pubs is about 20 minutes walk along the road or by footpath at the rear of the cottage. The three-storey cottage enjoys views from the front bedroom towards the Cove and beyond, and the rear bedrooms look out across Mounts Bay to St Michael's Mount and Penzance in the distance.

Accommodation: Entrance at the rear of the property from parking area to hallway and door into an open plan living room. The kitchen area is fitted with pine units, includes electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher with washing machine located in the ground floor bathroom. Pine table and chairs in the dining area and easy chairs, TV, video and fireplace with multi-fuel burner in the sitting area with French doors to the front garden. Door off the lounge accesses the stairs to the first floor landing. Double bedroom (5ft bed) with sea views towards St Michael's Mount and an en-suite shower room with shower, WC and basin. Single bedroom (3ft bed) plus vanity basin and sea views of Mullion Cove. On the second floor is the twin room with 3ft beds and sea views of Mullion Cove. On this floor is a WC and wash basin off the small landing. The main bathroom is on the ground floor with bath, shower over, basin, WC and washing machine.

Mullion Golf Club
Mullion Golf Club situated on the cliffs of the Lizard Peninsula is not only the most Southerly but one of the most beautiful courses in the West Country. Framed by sandy coves and protected reed beds, the course, now well past it's centenary, has always attracted the literary giants who not only enjoyed the golf but also fascinated by  the ambience. Praa Sands Golf and Country Club
Open to both members and visitors the course is a deceptively challenging Par 62 for the men and Par 64 for the ladies, with each of the 9 tees enjoying those sea views. Expertly positioned extra tees allow players to plan a fresh approach to every game, making Praa Sands one of Cornwall’s most enjoyable courses.
